It is with great sadness that the family of Harald Muus announce his passing. Harald Muus, 84, of Kenosha passed away on June 25, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Harald was born on August 26, 1936, in Steenrade, Germany, the son of the late Hans Christian & Dora Ernestine Alvina Muus in Germany. He grew up working on the farm and acquired his quiet strength, large hands, gentle soul and a smile that charmed everyone he met along the way.
Harald married Dora Schmidt on August 30, 1957, in Germany. They emigrated to the United States shortly after they were married. He was employed for many years as a machinist and retired from ITW. Harald enjoyed listening to music, gardening, being the family sous-chef, baking, but most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Muus of Kenosha, son, Reinhard Muus of Round Lake Park, daughters Marianne (Greg) Fletcher in Australia, Linda Stratz and Ingrid Ross, both of Kenosha; his cousin, Rita Stormer in Germany; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessie) Fletcher, Nicole, Zoe Fletcher (Australia); Erika Robuck, Craig Ross and Bradley Stratz (Wisconsin), step-grandson Jamie (Sabrina) Sterling, and two great grandchildren, Emmett and George.
