Harriet J. Gallagher, 92, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 5, 2025, at her home.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, on November 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Katie (Bartels) Walter. She married John Gallagher on November 29, 1997, in Paddock Lake.
Harriet valued and treasured spending time with her family. She could be seen watching and supporting her daughters at triathlons and her grandchildren at their various sporting activities. Harriet traveled with family throughout the US including Hawaii as well as internationally (Brazil, Germany, and Canada). She enjoyed boating, snorkeling, water skiing and water aerobics. Harriet also enjoyed her card games with family and friends, especially sheepshead.
Survivors include her children, Joanne (Terrence) Byrne, Janine (James) Boldra, and Jacqueline (Thomas) Laumann; grandchildren, Kevin (Stacey) Byrne, Kyle Byrne, Matthew (Margaret) Byrne, and Douglas (Abigayle) Rouse; great-grandchildren, Avery, Morgan, Henry, Jack Byrne, Teagen and Blakely Rouse; step granddaughter, Rebecca (Kyle) Stankevitz; and step great-grandchildren, Hailie and Joseph Stankevitz.
Along with her parents, Harriet is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Laszewski, Eugene Quade, and John Gallagher; and great-grandchildren Patrick and Elijah Byrne.
Visitation will be at Proko Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon. Interment to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Trevor, WI.
