James Oliver, 86, of Kenosha passed away on December 11, 2023, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
James was born on July 22, 1937, in El Dorado, IL, the son of the late Edward and
Eileen (Rose) Oliver. He was educated in the schools of IL, where he was quite the scholar as he attended 12 years of school and never missed a day nor was he tardy. James married Rochelle Wagner on February 15, 1958, in Waukegan, IL. After being Union President of the AFLCIO of Warwick electronics located in Waukegan Illinois for many years, and a volunteer fire fighter, he became self-employed as a TV repairman, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. James was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was an avid deer hunter, his other hobbies included: Shopping with his wife, Fishing, collecting fishing lures, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals & the Chicago Bears but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends especially with his beloved grandchildren & Great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Rochelle Oliver of South Dakota (Kenosha); children, Cheryl Montgomery, Jacqueline Oliver, Charlene (David) Larson, Yvette Oliver all of Kenosha; sister, Sharon (David) Tilus of S.D.; also included are his four grandchildren (Michelle Castile, Rochelle Mastronardi, Taylor Oliver, Frankie Mastronardi) and four great-grandchildren (Elizabeth Green, Adrian Green, Brooklynn Hilton and Abdual Hilton III) all of Kenosha, as well as many family members; James was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Donna; brother, Ed and his Oldest granddaughter, Cozy Mae Montgomery of Kenosha.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
