James E. Leuck, 84 years old lifelong resident of Kenosha, WI passed away surrounded by his loving family Thursday, December 22, 2022, at home.
He was born March 29, 1938, in Kenosha, WI the son of the late Edmund and Marian (Lichter) Leuck. James attended local schools and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army before he was honorably discharged in 1958. On October 4, 1958, James married Evelyn Kenney at St. Thomas Catholic Church. He was employed at as an Operating Engineer for Engineers Local 139 for over 40 years prior to his retirement in 1994.
James was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, hiking, walking at Petrified Spring Parks, and trapshooting. James was a member of Wisconsin Sportsmen and Somers Gun Clubs. He enjoyed woodworking, especially building toys, cradles, and bunk beds for his grandchildren. Above all, James cherished time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Evelyn; two children, Susan M. (Joseph) Stellato and Edward J. (Victoria) Leuck; five grandchildren, Michael (Maggie) Stellato, Nicholas (Lila) Stellato, Lauren (Jason) Robinson, Natalie (Felix) Loewe, and Olivia (Brad) Cassiday; and one great-granddaughter, Ruby Marie Loewe. James is further survived by other extended family many friends, who often visited him even in his final days.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Chuck Wiberg; and in-laws, Lawrence and Evelyn Kenney.
