Jeffrey “Jeff” Steven Zimmermann, 59, of Kenosha, WI, passed away sadly on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Born on October 15, 1964, in Kenosha, WI, he was the son of James Zimmermann and Janet Monroe. He was educated at St. Peters Parochial School, Bullen Junior High, and St. Joseph High School.
Jeff had worked at Zimmermann and Sons, and the Boat House. He worked as a carpenter for years, and as charter boat captain; spending lots of time working at the harbor and boat slips. Jeff was loved by all who knew him and his friendly smile. He played in many pool leagues; loved fishing, cooking, and visiting his mother in FL.
Survivors include his mother, Janet (Philip) Scribner of Bonita Springs, FL; his loving stepfather, James (Wendy) Matzur; brother, Jason Matzur both of Kenosha, WI; a sister, Jody (Thomas) Coari of Lemont,IL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved dog, Enzo.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Zimmermann; his brother, Joey Zimmermann in 1981; and his infant sister, Jill Ann Zimmermann.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
