Joan “Joni” E. Meehan, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus.
She was born on September 23, 1942 to the late Alvin and Margaret (Pavlik) Christensen in Racine. She was educated in the schools of Racine and graduated from Park High School.
On September 17, 1993 she married Walter “Bud” Meehan in Reno, NV.
Joni worked as a meat cutter for several years and then as a title examiner for Lakeside Title Company. She also worked part-time at Surfside Lanes.
Joni enjoyed bowling and was proud of her 35-year attendance at nationals, golfing, going to casinos. And was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. Joni loved spending time with her family and was very proud of all her grandchildren.
Joni is survived by her loving husband Bud who was her amazing caregiver over the years, her children Juli (Al) Walters, Scot (Pam) Sinclair, Dr. Kurt (Kathy) Sinclair, Keri (Gerald) Logan, Charles (Betty) Meehan, Chris (Dave) Borre and Martin (Linda) Meehan, her 17 grandchildren, her many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, her sister Sharon Nicikowski, her niece Sheri Nicikowski and her nephew Teron Nicikowski.
She is preceded in death by a son Brian Meehan and a grandson Bob Walters.
A Celebration of Life for Joni will be held later this summer.
