John Ridley, 75, of Kenosha passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 7, 2021.
John was born May 19, 1946, and was a lifelong Kenosha Resident. He attended Mary D. Bradford high school.
Always a hardworking man, he served his country in the US Army from 1966-1968.
He worked for K&R Express for 27 years. After retirement, he very much enjoyed driving a bus for both Great Lakes Naval Base, Kenosha Unified and St. Joseph school, talking to sailors and student’s alike.
John had an active social life, playing softball, bowling on several league teams, riding motorcycles. buying new cars and spending time with his friends. He was a lifelong Brewer and Packer fan.
John was a talker and gave the best advice to friends, family and strangers alike.
John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lynn Ridley; children: Tammy (Rusty) Werth, Tim (Tina) Ridley, and Ryan Ridley; Grandchildren: John (Melinda) Ridley, Nicole (Alan) Werth, Collin Werth, and Jacob Ridley; sisters, Annabelle Leinweber, Earlene Lord; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Freida Ridley, sister Marion Mink, brothers, Bill, Fred and Charlie Ridley
He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday July 15, 2021, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4:00PM-7:00PM, with funeral services to follow. Burial Friday July 16, 2021, at Green Ridge Cemetery at 10:00AM.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
