It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the passing of Judith Zirbel who left us on January 15, 2025, at the age of 73. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Judy was born on May 23, 1951, in Adrian Michigan and moved to Bristol Wisconsin in 1960, graduating from Westosha Central High School in 1969. She exemplified compassion and selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own.
On June 19, 1981, she married Donald W. Zirbel at Bristol United Methodist Church.
She was a talented typesetter, graphic designer, and proofreader for the majority of her career working at The Advertiser, Courtesy Graphics, and StudioNorth. Judy had a profound spiritual connection. As a Reiki Master she felt a great sense of purpose sending healing energy to anyone in need. She loved spending time with her family and connecting with nature.
She is survived by her husband, Don Zirbel; daughter, Amy (Bob) Vanderwerff; daughter, Albie (Paul) Zuzinec; daughter, Amy Block; brother, Brad (Judy) Keller; 9 grandchildren; and many other cherished family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Delsie (Morton) Keller; and sister, Sandy Schuerman (Keller).
Though Judy may no longer walk among us, her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of life will be held on January 31, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home, visitation from 10:00 am to 12 noon and service to follow.
