Kenneth W. Stein, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Frontida ALF Azalea Place.
He was born on August 26, 1929 to the late Norman and Evelyn (Hurtgen) Stein in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School.
On June 13, 1947 he entered the US Marines and was honorably discharged on June 12, 1950. Kenneth was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1865.
Kenneth married Bonnie Goodare on June 6, 1953 in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2017.
Kenneth worked at AMC/Chrysler as a supervisor for many years. He was also a member of the UAW Local 72.
Kenneth was a member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church.
Kenneth enjoyed karate and was a black belt, tinkering and buying cars and trucks and vacationing in Wisconsin Dells and Florida. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Kenneth is survived by his daughters Sandra (John) Hawley, Janet Jozwiak, Susan (David) McPherson, Mary (Todd) Griffin and Judy (Dave) Sturznegger, his 14 grandchildren and his nine great grandchildren with one on the way.
A Celebration of Life for Kenneth will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 12:00 (Noon) at the Bruch Funeral Home. Inurnment with Full Military Honors will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
