Laurian “Lauri” June Osantowski, 82, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Hospice Alliance Hospice House.
She was born on June 24, 1942 to the late Waino and Irene (Alaniva) Junttonen in Painsdale, Michigan. She was educated in the schools of Painsdale and graduated from Painsdale Jeffers High School.
On March 17, 1973 she married Ronald Osantowski in Milwaukee.
Lauri worked at Abbott Lab from 1978 until retiring in 2005 in data entry.
Lauri was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Lauri enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking and reading. She also enjoyed going on vacation. She was a Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers fan. Most of all, Lauri loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Lauri is survived by her husband Ronald for 51 years, her son Brent (Jaclyne Buzzell) Osantowski, her grandchildren Gray and Isaac, her sister Nel Smith and a step sister-in-law Donna Harju.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Nestor Harju, her sisters Violet Kuusisto and Lois Rintala, her brothers Earl and Calvin Junttonen and Vern Harju, her brothers-in-law Waino Kuusisto, Wester Rintala and Bruce Smith and her sisters-in-law Kathy and Mary Ann Junttonen.
Funeral Services for Lauri will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 2:00 P.M. AT Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (4311 – 104th St. Pleasant Prairie). Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until the time of service at the church. Private entombment will be held at All Saints Mausoleum.
