Letizia Theadora Rizzitano, 82 years old of Kenosha, peacefully entered eternal life on August 15, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born July 11, 1942 the daughter of the late Pepino and Assunta (Grimoli) Gallo in Garanzia,Cosenza in Calabria Italy. She attended the University of Calabria where she earned a degree in accounting. On September 5, 1965, she married Philip Rizzitano and they moved to America to start a new life together.
Letizia was a strong woman that valued education, hard work, tradition and family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and always put her family first. In addition to being an excellent homemaker she also worked several jobs. She was employed at Leblanc, Woodstock Health Center, Paielli’s Bakery, and Bullen Middle School. She was also a certified childcare teacher.
Letizia was a devout catholic and a parishioner of Saint Peter Parish. She loved church events and particularly looked forward to the church festival every summer. She enjoyed cooking and especially preparing Sunday dinners for her family. She liked shopping, walking, gardening, puzzles, knitting, the Green Bay Packers and visiting family in Italy. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband, Philip, who took very good care of Letizia; two children, Rina (Jack) Eschbach and Dino (Jodee) Rizzitano of Kenosha,WI; sister, Erminia (the late Silverio) Tucci of Italy; four grandchildren, Philip and Ava Rizzitano, Gina Eschbach and Erica (Mike) London; two great grandchildren, Aria and Liam; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Maria Imbrongo and Rose Bilotti; and a brother, Raffaele Gallo.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Parish, Kenosha, WI with entombment to follow in All Saints Mausoleum, Pleasant Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) are appreciated. https://dcmfoundation.org/donate/
