Lillian E. Lichtwalt, age 87, passed away peacefully at Froedtert South-Pleasant Prairie on Thursday, April 22, 2021.
Born on January 31, 1934, Lillian was the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Usinger) Legler. Lillian was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On October 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to her beloved husband, George “Mike” Lichtwalt at Friedens Lutheran Church. Their union was blessed with 49 wonderful years together and three beautiful children.
Lillian was employed as a Department Manager for W. T. Grants for 10 years.
She was a member of The Lord of Life Church, a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans, Allemande Square Dancing, Sons of Norway, VFW and the Senior Center. Grace volunteered at Jeffrey Elementary School as a mentor in reading for children in kindergarten through first grade. She loved music and dancing with her husband, enjoyed golfing, bowling, knitting and being creative with crafts.
She leaves behind many joyful memories for all of us. Her love of life, her dreams for her children and her love of family as well as others who loved her. Lillian was many things to many people, a daughter, loving wife and mother, a supportive sister, caring grandmother and great grandmother, a dear friend and kind neighbor. She leaves behind her three children, Deborah (Randy) Gross, Duane Lichtwalt and Jeffrey (Susan Krueger) Lichtwalt; her 9 grandchildren; her 20 great grandchildren and her sister, Doris Kitchens.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband, George “Mike” Lichtwalt; her sisters Sherley Buckner and Joyce Delaine Legler and her brother, Edward Eugene Legler.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Carol Jeunnette for her support over the years. In addition, the family would also like to thank Froedtert South-Pleasant Prairie for the compassionate, kind and loving care they provided Lillian.
