Lisa Marie Hanson (nee Bartolotta) of Greenfield, Wis. passed away due to complications of Covid-19 on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the age of 57. Lisa was born on November 16, 1964 in Milwaukee, Wis and was a 1983 graduate of South Division High School.
Lisa was a very caring, giving person. She loved children, especially her son, Kevin Sippy and, as a single mom, she raised him to be a great young man and husband. She was also a loving step-mom to her step-children and step-grandchildren.
One of her greatest gifts was her love of volunteer work. She used to assist our Grandmother in her work for the Holy Crucifix Society and even became their youngest member and treasurer. More recently, she would go to VMP, an assisted living / nursing home facility and paint the women’s fingernails for them.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father Salvatore “Ted” Bartolotta and her grandparents.
Lisa is survived by her beloved husband of 12 years. Robert G. Hanson, Sr., who said when she passed, “Twelve years was not enough time with her; 100 years wouldn’t have been enough!” She is also survived by her mother, Kathleen (Haight) Bartolotta; son, Kevin (Erika) Sippy; siblings, Victoria Bartolotta and Vincent (Bobbie) Bartolotta; nephew, Nicholas Ludwig; step-nephew and niece, Christopher Swosinski and Brittany Henkel; step-children, Robert (Cassandra) Hanson, Heather (Jose) Sanchez; and 5 grandchildren. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Robert would like to thank Lori Rohde Janusz and Shelly Preston, Lisa’s home caregivers who took such special care of her and whom they considered more than caregivers.
Her husband and family wish to send a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the ICU at Aurora West Allis Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care of Lisa, for making the time to answer the family’s questions and for enabling her son in video chat with her from Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Kemper Center (6501 – 3rd Avenue, Kenosha) with interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Facemasks are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. A GoFundMe page has been set up.
