Lola P. Fuerstenberg, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center Kenosha.
Born in Chilton County, AL on March 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mertle (Jones) Sturdivant. She received her education in Alabama.
On December 12, 1959, Lola was united in marriage to Henry Fuerstenberg in Kenosha.
Lola was a long-time member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church and resided at Harborside Commons. Her faith was important to her and she loved her Lord and Savior. In her spare time, she liked collecting recipes, cooking and gardening and enjoyed spending time with her beloved pet companion baby bear.
She is survived by her daughter; Barbara (Dave) Lyons; her daughter-in-law, Valorie Lightsey; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Fuerstenberg; her sons, Billy Lightsey and Michael (Connie) Fuerstenberg.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aurora Medical Center in the ER, ICU and Surgery floor for the compassionate, kind and loving care they provided Lola. In addition, the family would also like to thank Med 1 from Kenosha Fire Department for all of their care and support.

Funeral services honoring Lola’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 2020 91st Street.
Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
A visitation for Lola will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
Memorial remembrances in Lola’s name to the family would be appreciated.
