Louis David Ludeman, 64, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
He was born April 26, 1960, in Fort Atkinson, WI to David and Jeanne (Wickingson) Ludeman. He attended St. John’s Lutheran in Beloit, WI through eighth grade and was a cub scout and participated in the box car derby with his father. He graduated from Beloit Memorial High School and participated in basketball and the swim team. He furthered his education at Blackhawk Technical College in auto mechanics, in Janesville, WI. He also played guitar in a band.
He married the love of his life, Sheryl Kaderly, on October 3, 1981, at St. John’s Lutheran in Beloit, WI. Their wonderful son, Justin, was born in 1983. Louis worked for Woodman’s Food Market since he was 16 in 1976. He and his family then moved to Kenosha, WI so he could manage the Woodman’s store that opened in 1997.
In his spare time, Louis enjoyed woodworking, playing guitar, sewing quilts, watching the sunrise over Lake Michigan, and driving his Pontiac Firebird that he purchased as a high school senior.
Louis is survived by his wife, Sheryl; son, Justin Louis (Amy) Ludeman; mother, Jeanne Ludeman; in-laws, Clarence and Carol Kaderly; siblings, Kathleen (Jack) Fiedler and Daniel (Jenny) Ludeman; nieces and nephews, Kristine (Brian) Thomas, Matthew (Brittney) Pankhurst, Jacob (Janelle) Ludeman, and Luke (Jenni) Ludeman, and great nieces and nephews, Mazlyn and Owen Thomas, Weston and Camden Pankhurst, and Abigail Ludeman.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Louis Ludeman.
Memorial visitation for Louis will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
