Marcelo Aguilar, a resident of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on February 16th, 2025. He was 79 years old. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Marcelo was born in Rio Grande, Mexico, to loving parents Baltazar and Evangelina Aguilar. He spent the first part of his life close to family in Mexico, and married the love of his life, Pascuala Mares, in July of 1968. The two were blessed with three sons, Baltazar, Marcelo, and Ismael. The family relocated to Kenosha in 1978 so Marcelo could work for Kenosha Beef. He spent many years there as Manager. He also worked for beloved Kenosha burger place The Spot as a porter. He officially retired in 2020 to spend time with his grandchildren and his wife.
In his spare time Marcelo loved woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, watching the news on YouTube, playing Solitaire, and eating chocolate.
Marcelo is survived by his wife of 56 years Pascuala, his sons Baltazar, Marcelo, and Ismael, and his grandchildren Mia, Ana Lisa, Gabriel, Sophia, Hailey, and Alejandro. He is further survived by his siblings Olga Rejis, Polo Aguilar, and Hugo Aguilar, all of whom live in Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Marcelo’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025, at Immanuel United Methodist Church (5410 Sheridan Road). Visitation with the family will take place from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with a prayer service to follow.
