Maria L. (Molina) Torres, 84 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center, Pleasant Prairie, WI.
She was born October 9, 1939, in Laredo, TX, the daughter of the late Ignacio and Leonor (Gonzalez) Molina. She grew up in Laredo, and after meeting her first husband, Eugenio Lara they relocated to Kenosha, WI where they had their children. She later married Guadalupe Torres and welcomed his children with open arms.
Maria was a devoted member of La Hermosa Church, Kenosha, WI, was a gifted baker, and enjoyed antiquing.
Survivors include her children, Martha (Jesse) Perez, Eugene Lara (Jr.), Adrian (Norma) Lara, and Olga (Jermaine) Oakley; grandchildren, Vanessa (Mark) White, Ramiro IV, Gabriella (Benny) Ramos, Lawrence Jr, Alexandra (Chispy), Maria, Kylie, Grace, Myles, Jacob, Jason, and Jaydon; bonus children, Josefina Perez, Maria (Ruben) Castanuela, Esmeralda Segura, Maria Elena (Javier) Ochoa, Guadalupe (Lupita) Torres Jr., Benito (Mary) Torres, Fernando (Gloria) Torrez, Samuel (Anna) Torres, and Patricia (Alberto) Rodriguez; and 42 bonus grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Maria was preceded in death by Jesse Torres, Lupita Terrazas, Juan Jose Torres, Jesus Perez Sr., and Lydia Torres.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice Alliance and Grande Prairie for their compassionate care in Maria’s final days.
Visitation will be held at the Racine Family Worship Center, 1846 Mead St., Racine, WI from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 30, 2024, at the church and interment will follow in St. George Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
