Michael F. Montemurro, 75 years old, lifelong resident of Kenosha, WI passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 25, 1948, in Kenosha, WI the eldest son of Michael R. and Dorothy (Herrmann) Montemurro and remained a lifelong resident. On September 2, 1972, Mike married Jean Pederson in Racine, WI.
After graduating from UW-Madison, Mike worked for Snap-On Tools for 36 years, starting as a Junior Accountant and eventually retiring as Senior Vice President, Snap-On Incorporated & President, Worldwide Dealer Group.
He was an avid golfer, loved all sports, and was a proud Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. He will be remembered for the meticulous care of his cars and his lawn. Mike enjoyed spending time in South Carolina, but he especially cherished time with his beloved family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jean; children, Lisa (Craig) Grove and Michael J. (Sarah) Montemurro, both of Kenosha, WI; his mother, Dorothy Montemurro; siblings, Kathleen Moddes, Gerald (Nancy) Montemurro, Diane (Joseph) Leonardi, Ron (Mariruth) Montemurro, MaryJo (Rocco) LaMacchia, and Mathias (Patricia) Montemurro; in-laws, Jerome (JoAnn) Pederson and Joan (John) Lesko; four grandchildren, Rylee and Brady Grove, and Michael W. and Dylan Montemurro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Academy (2401 69th St, Kenosha, WI), in his memory. A memorial celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Stella’s Casa Capri, 2129 Birch Road, Kenosha, WI.
