Nancy M. Pohlson, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 18, 2024 at Complete Care at Ridgewood. She was born on November 22, 1936 to the late Arthur and Agnes (Dobes) Scola in Chicago. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.On October 17, 1959 she married Raymond E. Pohlson at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2019.
Nancy was an LPN at Kenosha Memorial Hospital, also Great Lakes VA Hospital and the Dayton Hotel for several years. She then owned and operated Elegance at Large Clothing Store for 15 years having a store in downtown Kenosha and Racine. After retirement Nancy and Ray moved to Florida, returning to Kenosha in 2018.
Nancy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Nancy was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 155. In her younger years, she was involved with the Elks Club and the Italian American.
Nancy is survived by her daughters Deborah (Roberto) Alvarado and Dawn M. (Brent Eckman) Pohlson, her grandchildren Ashley (Christopher) Urban, Amanda (Kurt) Bujewski, James Fonk II and Charles Pohlson, her great grandchildren Lillie Buese and Violet Urban, her brothers Arthur and Ernest Scola and her sisters Margaret Valdez and Laura Scola.
She is preceded in death by a sister Roseann Camilli, sister-in-law Laurel Scola and a brother-in-law Raymond Valdez.
Funeral Services for Nancy will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
