Nannette Jean Fisher, 84, of Lake County IL, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Round Lake, IL. She was born November 10, 1940, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late George and Irene Leonard, growing up in Venetian Village, IL. Nannette was a wonderful, caring, and dedicated person. She enjoyed much of what life had to offer; baking for her family, yellow roses, popcorn, country music, travel to Hawaii & Europe, and an occasional “CC and water with one ice cube”, but most of all, her family. Nannette was always looking out for the family she had raised and ensured that they would have a happy and successful life. Nannette worked as a bookkeeper for Midland Dexter Paints (later called Akzo Nobel Coatings) and also, as she claimed, “her fun job” for many years at Six Flags Great America until her retirement. She proudly did not have a single sick day in her entire work life. Nannette was formerly married to Martin F. Bell, who passed away in 1982. She lived her entire life in Northern Illinois; having lived in Antioch, Winthrop Harbor, Gurnee, and Lake Villa.
Nannette is survived by her two sons, Gregory A. Bell and Michael M. Bell, and her numerous grandchildren: Zachariah Bell and Keeleana Bell. Also, Carson, Taylor, Jordan, Shantae, Michael (deceased) and Sondra Bell. She has two great granddaughters, Alexis Amy (Parra) and Mia Parra. Nannette was preceded in death by her two sisters, Jeannine Krostal and Cynthia Hoffmann. Nannette’s twin sister, Paulette Leonard, followed Nannette in passing, just two weeks later. Nannette was a cherished pillar of love and devotion for the Bell Family and will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Lives Service for both Nannette and Paulette will be held on April 19th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Courtyard Marriott (3800 Northpoint Blvd, Waukegan IL)
