Patrick Wirth Sr., 60, of Union Grove passed away on November 12, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center of Kenosha surrounded by his loved ones.
Patrick was born on August 15, 1963, in Oak Park, IL, the son of Patricia (Wirth) Burke. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and a self-taught handy man who enjoyed getting his hands on fixing things, such as computers and cars. Patrick was self-employed as an engineer for many years. He was brilliant in the trades, and he enjoyed problem solving activities. His hobbies included cooking, baking, fishing, listening to rock n roll music, cheering for the Chicago Bears, doing puzzles and reading. He was patriotic and enjoyed history and politics. His love of food and trying new recipes gave him a passion for trying new things and collecting cook books. Patrick looked forward to the summers where he could visit garage sales and the State Fair with his children. His very favorite time of year was the holiday season. He loved to bake cookies, see Christmas lights and listen to holiday music. His most cherished memories included spending time with his children and best friends Amanda, Ron and Bonnie. He also had a very special place in his heart for his beloved kitty, Precious.
Patrick is survived by his children, Erica Wirth, Aimee (Will) Soens, Deanna Wirth, Barbara Nicole Wirth, Patrick (Sara) Gallo, Dean Wirth; mother, Patricia (Wirth) Burke; grand-daughter, Gianna; also included are his lifelong best friends, Ron, Bonnie, Amanda and “Little” Ronnie (Sam) Mentek and their son Kayce. Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Barbara & Dr. Robert Wirth.
A memorial service will be held at Halter Wildlife on November 27, 2023 at 4pm with a private celebration of life to follow.
