Raymond Routt, 73, of La Crescent, MN passed away on December 28, 2024, at Froedtert Milwaukee Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Raymond was born on September 1, 1951, in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late James and Joan (Kasten) Routt. He was educated in the schools of Waukegan. Raymond married Pattie Pearce-Leathers on May 15, 1999, in Zion, IL. He worked for the City of Zion for many years. Raymond was a member of the United States Army. His hobbies included going on casino trips, cheering for the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Pattie Routt of La Crescent, MN; children, Robert Leathers of WI, Melanie Leathers of Eau Claire, Sara (Jose) Desarden of TX, Christopher (Jennifer Wells) Leathers of Kenosha, Patrick Leathers of MN, James Routt of AZ; brother, Danny (Vera) Routt of Winthrop Harbor, IL; sisters, Randi Esparza of IL, Diane (Nick) Dudick of IL; grandchildren, Megan, Rachel, Dylan, Jacob, Justin, Haiden, Mariah, Alex, Andrew, Chase and Zaiden; also included are his great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Sage, Bentleigh, and Addlynn. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jonathan and his brother-in-law, Johnny Esparza.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
