Richard Hujik, 86, of Pleasant Prairie passed away on October 15, 2024, at Willowbrook Assisted Living surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born on July 28, 1938, in Kenosha, the son of the late Julius and Mildred (Chromec) Hujik. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford High School and received a degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Richard married Sandra Radke in Kenosha who later passed. He worked at McKinley Jr. High as a science teacher for over 40 years. Richard was a member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church. His hobbies included golfing, bicycling, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Wisconsin Badgers. Greater than all hobbies Richard enjoyed sharing his wealth of knowledge in all things science, with his grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife’s children, Steve (Janice) Klopstein of Kenosha, Dan Klopstein of Kenosha, Kelly (Jerry) Bacus of Kenosha; brother, Jerry (Mary) Hujik of SC; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hujik of WI; also included are his nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; parents and his brothers, Roger and his twin brother, Charles.
A private graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery (22312-75th St., Salem, WI 53168) on Monday October 21, 2024, starting at 1:00PM.
