Richard Rivas, 89, of Kenosha passed away on November 30, 2023, at The Waters Edge surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born on December 2, 1933, in Los Angeles, CA, the son of the late Frank and Alicia (Blancarte) Rivas. He was educated in the schools of CA. Richard married Teresa Valadez on September 14, 1957, in CA. He worked as a chemical engineer/inventor for Swedlow Plastics for many years. Richard was a member of the United States Air Force. His hobbies included building models, crossword puzzles, playing Pac-man and Tetris but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family especially with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Rivas of Kenosha; children, Lynn (Paul) Rodriguez of TX, Adrienne (Roy) Anderson of TX, Diane (Libby Marsh) Perdue of CA and Richard A. Rivas of Kenosha; also included are his 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Theresa.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
