Robert (Bob) Gross, aged 55, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 18, 1969, in Waukegan, IL, Bob received his education in the Waukegan School District.
Bob married the love of his life, Amy Fanning, in Kenosha on October 2, 1993. He began his career as an office furniture installer and at the height of his career became an independent contractor.
Bob had a deep passion for fishing and the great outdoors. He spent countless hours at their family cabin in Crivitz, Wisconsin, creating unforgettable moments with his wife, children, siblings, and friends. His joy for life was evident in how he cherished every moment with his grandchildren, always being the great grandpa that he was. A true dog lover, Bob shared an unbreakable bond with his dog, Bear. In addition to his love for fishing, Bob loved spending time on the boat, riding the ATV, and sitting by the campfire. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed watching football and he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams.
Bob was known for his generosity and willingness to help others. His kindness touched the lives of everyone he met. Bob’s dedication to his family and friends was unwavering, and he always made time to support and encourage them in their endeavors.
Bob’s storytelling was legendary, and we all have fond memories of sitting around, listening to him share his captivating tales and cherished memories. His ability to bring stories to life and make us laugh was truly a gift.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Amy Gross of Kenosha; his children, Robert P. Gross (Sarah Christopher) of Pleasant Prairie, and Joshua Gross (Brook Boyer) of Kenosha; his sisters, Elizabeth Woods (Maurice) of Waukegan, Kathleen Capp (John) of Kenosha, Mary Saunders (Mitchell) of Salem, and Brenda Gawloski of Pleasant Prairie. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Alexandria, Carter, and Sienna Gross, Madelyn Burns, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. Gross and Anna M. Gross, and his brother-in-law, Thomas M. Gawloski.
As we remember Bob, let’s hold these beautiful memories close to our hearts and continue to celebrate his remarkable legacy. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held this summer.
