Ronald D. Vollmer age 89 of Lily Lake, WI passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, January 24th, 2025. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 23rd, 1935. He was born to the late Daniel and Virginia (Troyk) Vollmer. He married the love of his life Maureen (Keane) Vollmer on August 8th, 1959.
Ronald loved many great things, but none so more than his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his family. He was a loving Father, Grandpa, and Great grandpa. He was a true patriot, and served his country proudly for the United States Army. He absolutely loved all sports, and especially loved coaching. When he wasn’t coaching you could catch Ron enjoying the sun, walking on his deck listening to sports radio.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Colleen Marie Geren; his grandchildren, Daniel (Jessica Pietschman) Geren, Gary Geren, Kyle Geren, Dan (Trisha Seelinder) Vollmer, and Kailee Vollmer. He is further survived by his great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Autumn, Hailey, Leah, Brooklyn, Landon, Austin, Trevor, and Mayson. Ronald’s siblings; Donna Jean, and Dennis (Dawn) Dean.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; his Step mother Tina Vollmer, his wife Maureen Vollmer; his daughters Jean, and Michaelanne Vollmer, and his son Danny Vollmer.

A memorial mass will be held for Ronald, on Friday January 31st, 2025 at 11:00 A.M., at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6301 344th Ave. New Munster, WI. 53152. A visitation for Ronald will take place at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Please make sure to stay for the Military Honors ceremony which will be held after the memorial mass.
