On April 29, 1945, Ronald Lorenzo Bryan was born in St. Mary, Jamaica, to Rachel McSamm and Samuel Bryan. Rachel had two children, Ronald and (Shirley) Eunice Mitchell, while Samuel had six children: Cynthia Ormsby, Alma Bryan, Eunice, and two sons.
During his childhood, Ronald spent much of his time working and playing alongside Shirley. He earned his welding certification in July 1969 and was fortunate to secure a job at the Jamaica Bauxite Mining Company.
Ronald made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and married Elsie Scott on December 29, 1971. Together, Ronald and Elsie began their family and later moved to the United States in pursuit of better opportunities. They had four children: Denise (Bryan) McCarthy, Philip Bryan, Carol (Bryan) May, and Annette (Bryan) Davis.
After settling in the United States, Ronald balanced full-time work with night courses to further his education, earning an advanced degree and continuing to build a brighter future for his family.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home. Services for Ronald will commence at 12:00 noon on Monday and interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Somers, WI.
