Ronald L. Christensen, 84, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at his home with his wife by his side.
He was born November 4, 1940, to the late Just “Boyd” and Mollie (Heg) Christensen. He was educated in the Kenosha school systems. He worked as a long-haul trucker for over 50 years and was extremely proud of driving.
He married his “Poochy-Coo”, Patricia A. Kruse, on June 2, 1962, for a blissful 62 years. He devoted his life to his wife and his children.
Ron was best known as being a family man. He was extremely proud of his children and all their accomplishments. He beamed about his children, grandchildren, and his wife whenever he had the chance. He had a great sarcastic sense of humor, and he would talk to anyone and everyone that would listen. When COVID hit, he and Pat drove around, got food, and then sat by Lake Michigan and watched the waves. He loved his Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Becky (Mark) Zuehlsdorf and Dawn (Alan Darrell) Christensen; grandchildren, Brittany (Danny), Jake (Sandy), Tanner, and Luke (Abbey); and brother, James (Dar) Christensen.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Tina (Cliff) Nighsonger, Georgianne (Jack) Sampson, Robert (Carole) Christensen, and George (Joyce) Heg.
A special thank you to Kilea Steinke and the entire Hospice Alliance team for the exceptional care shown to Ron. Also, Casa Del Mare Assisted Living for their kindness.
Per Ron’s wishes, private services were held. He was placed to rest at St. George Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Hospice Alliance in his memory.
