Sam (Salvatore) Sparacio of Bassett, WI passed away August 21, 2024, at Zilber Family Hospice, Wauwatosa, WI. He was born May 11, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois to Salvatore and Santina Sparacio of Vicari, Sicily.
He was preceded by sisters Ann Koslowski, Josephine Puzan and Marie Ferrera, Bessie Guccione and brother Peter Sparacio.
Father to Cheryl Copp, Kimberly Osborn, Scott (Gabi) Sparacio, David (Tayebe) Sparacio. Grandfather to Ashton Osburn, Tiffany Osburn-Bair (Doug), Tyler Sparacio, Meaghan Sparacio, Gianna Sparacio and Sophia Sparacio. Great Grandfather to Merida Osburn. Uncle to Karen (Jim) Crutchfield and family, The Palminteri Family, The Salvatore Guccione Family, The Ferrera Family and the Peter Sparacio Sr. Family.
Sam graduated from Steinmetz High, Chicago and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 where he attained the rand of Sargeant. He was stationed in Germany and Stansted Air Force Base in England, where he served as an Army Medic. (As every medical professional he ever met was made aware of). He worked many years as a car salesman and car mechanic. He enjoyed golfing with Scott, David, Jim and special friend Jackie.
Playing cards, building model airplanes and Dog/Horse Racing were some of his favorite activities. Woodworking was his passion, and he enjoyed gifting his many projects (especially birdhouses) to family, friends and special people in his life.
His favorite quote “I am what I am, I do what I do, and It is what it is”. Rest in Peace Dad.
