Sandra R. Ziegelski, age 67, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 following a valiant battle with cancer which showcased her strong will and determination. Daughter of the late Sam and Dorothy (Hunter) Wojcik, Sandy was born on October 23, 1957, in Chicago, IL, where she grew up with two brothers. On October 10, 1999, Sandy was united in marriage with the love of her life, Stephen Ziegelski, at the Kenosha County Courthouse. A passionate sports fan, Sandy loved watching hockey, football, NASCAR, and basketball (if nothing else was on). In addition to her love for sports, Sandy had an unbreakable bond with her feline friends, Mau Mau, Mischa, and Binky-Do, who were a constant source of comfort, companionship, and joy. Whether curled up together browsing one of her hundreds of cookbooks, or cheering on her favorite teams, Sandy always had a cat by her side. Sandy was also known for being an enthusiastic and avid shopper with a great eye for gifts. She had a generous nature and was most known for her “Pink Fluff,” which family and friends eagerly anticipated at any gathering. The Cool Whip and strawberry Jello dessert was her signature dish, loved by all.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Steve Ziegelski; siblings-in-law, Maureen Wojcik, Mike (Dawn) Ziegelski, Deb (Ray) Peterson, and Dave (Susan) Ziegelski; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Neal), Olivia, Siobhan, Catherine, Laura, Marie, John, and Morgan; great niece, Cecilia and great-nephew, Lucas; as well as her beloved cat, Binky-Do. In death she is reunited with her parents, Sam and Dorothy Wojcik; and brothers, Sam and Don Wojcik.
