Shalonda Palmore, 41 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Crossroads Care Center, Kenosha, WI.
She was born February 1, 1980, in Waukegan, IL the daughter of Clarence Palmore and Juanita Sykes. Shalonda graduated from Mary D, Bradford High School, Kenosha, WI, and was currently working for Great Lakes Naval Base, Great Lakes, IL.
Shalonda enjoyed watching Lifetime, Tyler Perry shows, and listening to music by Tupac. She was a homebody who loved taking care of her daughter, and her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her daughter, Alisha Johnson; her mother, Juanita Sykes; and sisters, Kesha Palmore and Catherine Sykes.
Shalonda was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Palmore; a sister, Lawanda Palmore; her maternal grandmother, Leola Sykes; paternal grandfather Cornelius Palmore; and her daughter, Diamond Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 2401 Argonne Dr., North Chicago, IL with services commencing at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
