Missionary Shannon Y. Harmon, 53, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at her residence.
She was born on April 3, 1969, to Earl and Rose (Borner) Harmon in Kenosha. She attended Kenosha Public Schools and graduated from Reuther High School. She also attended Carthage College.
Shannon worked in the healthcare industry for many years.
Shannon was a member of Holy Assembly Church in Kenosha. She was a true Missionary and was well-known throughout the community. Shannon was the Chairperson for the Evangelism and Outreach Committee, Chairperson of the Program Committee, Chairperson of the Shepherd’s Watch Committee and the Secretary of the Sunday School Department.
Shannon is survived by her mother Rose Harmon and her siblings Vincent Borner, DeWayne Harmon, Marlon (Lisa) Harmon, Tiffany Harmon (Tavaris Allen). Nephews: Braxton Borner, Patrick Sims, DeWayne Harmon Jr., Patric Moore, Marlon Quincy Harmon. Nieces: Brianna Harmon, Je’re Harmon, Caliyah Allen, Aaliyah Allen, Taliyah Allen. Goddaughter, Ja’Naya Moses along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father Earl Harmon.
Funeral Services for Shannon will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Grace Lutheran Church (2006 – 60th St.). Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
