Shirley Arvilla Maki (Derozier), age 102, of Kenosha, passed away on April 17th , 2025, at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha. She was born on June 16 th , 1922, in Plover, WI, to the late Clarence Derozier and Abigail (Taylor) Derozier. She was a wonderful homemaker, always making the house feel like home. She had many friends over the years and knew somebody everywhere she went. She treated everyone respectfully and was uncommonly kind to everyone she met. She was very active in her home
parish First Untied Methodist in Kenosha.
She is survived by her son: Charles (Kathryn) Maki, grandchildren: James (Kristi) Maki, Heather (Kevin) Spencer, and Melisa Myers, and great grandchildren: Ryan Maki, Caitlyn Maki, and Cashton Myers. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John Maki, and siblings: Louis Derozier, Phillip Derozier, Leslie Derozier, Lyle Derozier, Ruth Ekelin and Alice Buege.
A visitation for Shirley will be held at First United Methodist Church (919 60 th St.) in Kenosha on Wednesday, April 23 rd , at 1 P.M. A service will also take place at church
immediately following the visitation at 2 P.M. Entombment at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
