Shirley J. Gail, age 93, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 at her home. Shirley was born on January 10th, 1929 in Berwyn, IL to Arthur and Mary (Page) Gail. She moved to Kenosha when she was a young girl, was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1948. Shirley worked for Simmons Company for 11 years, Eric Manufacturing in Milwaukee, Manutronics in Kenosha and Jacobsons in Racine. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, where she volunteered in the office and the soup kitchen. Shirley enjoyed traveling, shopping, word search puzzles and reading. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her sister.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; two brothers, Franklin and John Gail; step-sister, Jean Phipps and her step-brother, William Ecklor.
Shirley is survived by, her sister, Joyce Istvanek; her step-sister, Pat Christiansen and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, June 10th, 2022 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church (5900-7th Avenue). A visitation will be at the church on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service.
