Simon Aguayo Quintero, age 72, passed away on January 22, 2025 surrounded by his family at his residence in Pleasant Prairie, WI. He was born December 5, 1952, the third son of Santiago and Maria Quintero in Reynosa, Mexico. He started working for American Motors in 1976, for 13 years he was a line assemblyman at the Daimler Chrysler Jefferson Plant in Detroit, MI. He later moved to the Kenosha Plant to be closer to his family and retired from there in 2014.
He was strong, independent and determined, all traits he instilled in his three sons. He battled colon, lung and throat cancer for several years with his eldest son by his side.
Simon worked hard to build a better life for his Mother and family. He taught his sons the value of hard work and perseverance. He was a father who loved to laugh with his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, summertime and sitting in the sun, spending time with his family and meeting friends for coffee.
He is survived by his children: Simon Jimenez and wife Megan, Christopher Quintero and wife Brandy, and Juan Quintero. grandchildren: Julian Jimenez, Alexander Jimenez, Niko Jimenez, Noah Jimenez, Henry Quintero, Blanca Quintero, and Hason Quintero a brother Antonio Quintero and a sister Maria Perez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roberto, Oscar, Juan and granddaughter Alana Jimenez.
