Stephen Charles Jusits, 76 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Crossroads Care Center, Kenosha, WI.
He was born August 4, 1947, in Mesa, AZ the son of the late Charles and Irene (Iverson) Jusits. Steve was raised in Chicago, IL and was a fan of all Chicago sports, especially the Cubs and Bears. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for over 30 years and worked as a jet engine mechanic for the Air Force Base located in Milwaukee, WI for many years.
In his younger years, Steve played Minor League Baseball and enjoyed spending time as crew chief and mechanic during his son’s recreational racing career. He cherished time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by many, including the staff of Rosati’s in Kenosha.
Survivors include his son, Kyle (Tayler) Jusits of Kenosha, WI; his former wife, Debbie (Rod) Chapman; grandchildren, Benson and Blake; brother-in-law, Bob Halvey and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth Halvey.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11: 00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home. Military honors will conclude visitation.
