Vaira Otvars, 89, of Kenosha passed away on February 5, 2024, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
Vaira was born on May 12th, 1934 in Jaungulbene, Latvia to the late Janis & Elza (Valants) Otvars. She was the youngest of 3 children, both Dzidra Sumanis and Malda Apals preceded her in death.
Vaira graduated from the University of Louisville Pharmacy School in 1959 and worked as a pharmacist until the age of 78. She was also an active member of First Lutheran Church in downtown Louisville.
She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews (who all lovingly refer to her as Tante), as well as a host of close relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Friday, February 16, 2024, starting at 11:00AM. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
