Walter Frank Toboyek (Wally) died August 27, 2024 with his family by his side in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Born June 16, 1938, son of Joseph & Mary (Omilian) Toboyek, oldest of five children, one sister, three brothers. Born on a small dairy farm in Peplin, Wisconsin. He went to a one room grade school in Peplin 1st to 8th grade – graduated Mosinee High School in 1957. After high school Wally joined Wisconsin National Guard, serviced Berlin Crisis in 1961.
Wally married the love of his life on August 19, 1961, Mary Ann Wieloch of Cassel, Wisconsin. Wally & Mary Ann came to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1962. He worked at American Motors for 6 years and then 33 years at Tri-Clover as a machinist. He retired from Tri-Clover in June 1999.
He loved to go camping, boating, fishing and deer hunting for many years. He was a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. He always had a big garden – flowers and vegetables, canned many of their vegetables – hundreds of quarts over the years.
Wally lived a life of service – he volunteered for 10 years as an EMT on Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue, Shalom Soup Kitchen since it was started for over 35 years at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, serviced with the Boy Scouts when his sons were in scouting. In retirement, he also did 21 years of Meals on Wheels for Kenosha Area Family & Aging Services.
He has three grandchildren, Ashley (Zach) Conrad of Glendale, AZ, Amber (Dallas) St. Arnaud of Neenah, WI, and Glen (Sarah) Toboyek of Rhinelander, WI, three great-grandchildren Dominic Griffith, Greyson Worth and Donald Toboyek.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Toboyek of Kenosha, WI; his three children, Michael (Paul) Toboyek of Somers, WI, Mark (Lori) Toboyek of West Bend, WI, and Sharon (Dan) Petersen of Incline Village, NV; sister Lorraine Danczyk of Stevens Point, WI; and brothers Steve (Delores) Toboyek of Mosinee, WI, Florian (Marion) Toboyek of Florida, Lawrence (Kathy) Toboyek of Gilbert, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services honoring Wally’s life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 7400 39th Ave. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for Mass.

Entombment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
A visitation for Wally will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
