William (Bill) J. Spencer, age 76, a lifelong resident of Kenosha passed away on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 at Froedtert South surrounded by his loving family. He was born in 1944 on Christmas Day to the late Leslie and Doris (Zuhde) Spencer. On June 27th, 1964 he married the love of his life Charmayne (Ausen) at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha. He attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. Bill belonged to the steel workers union and worked at the American Brass Company as a forklift operator for over 38 years until his retirement in 1999.
He is survived by his wife Char of over 56 years, his son Grant Spencer and daughters: Rhonda Kozerski , LeeAnn Powell , and Shannon (Anthony) Domenk. He was Grandpa to 7 grandchildren: Ryley Powell, Kyle Spencer, Nicholas Kozerski, Jadynn Powell, Kailey Kozerski, Spencer Domenk, Madison Domenk, and also had 1 great- grandchild: Charlotte Spencer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Leslie Spencer of Kenosha, and Ralph Spencer of California.
He was “Bill” if you knew him and “Wild Bill” if you knew him well. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He met Char when he was 4 years old and fiercely loved her, his family, and friends. He loved “putzin” around the house, grilling on his weber grill and just being outdoors. He was always up for a game of pool or an impromptu dance with Char. Bill loved watching the Green Bay Packers and old western movies. He also loved riding his motorcycle. If Bill was not at home, you always knew where to find him, “up nort” St. Germain at the family-owned A-frame enjoying life with his family and friends.
The family would like to give a thank you to Froedtert South for their remarkable care and compassion for him and his family. As per the family’s wishes services will be held privately.
